How Christmas Home Styling Works in London

How bespoke Christmas decorating works in London, from the first conversation to installation and January takedown, for homes across Central London and beyond.

Bringing in a professional to decorate your home for Christmas is still a new idea for many people, so it’s natural to wonder what it actually involves. Here is exactly how bespoke Christmas styling works with EVE, from the first conversation to the moment you walk into a home that’s ready for the season, and the quiet pack-away in January.

What is Christmas home styling?

Christmas home styling is a professional Christmas decorating service, approached the way an interior designer approaches a room. There are no set packages or predetermined looks. Each scheme is designed around the home itself (its character, architecture and existing interior) and around the people who live there.

My background is in interior design and broadcast set styling, where composition, scale, colour, texture and the smallest details all shape how a space looks and feels. At Christmas, I bring that same eye to your tree, mantelpiece, staircase, dining table and entrance.

How it works, step by step

1. Enquire

Tell me a little about your home, what you’d like styled and when you’d ideally like your installation. You don’t need to have everything figured out. A few details are all I need to start the conversation.

2. Consultation

We’ll talk through your home, how you celebrate Christmas, the decorations you already have and how you’d like each space to feel. The consultation can take place in your home or by video call. Afterwards, I’ll confirm the proposed scope of work and send a tailored quotation. Once everything is agreed, your installation date is booked.

3. Creative direction

From our conversation, I develop a creative direction for your home: the overall atmosphere, colour, materials, lighting and decorative details. Where it helps, I’ll create a personalised moodboard or visual concept, so you can see the direction before anything is sourced.

4. Sourcing and preparation

We can work with the decorations you already own, introduce carefully selected new pieces, or create something entirely new. Foliage, ribbon, ornaments and any other styling elements are sourced and prepared in line with the agreed design.

5. Installation and styling

On the agreed date, everything comes together in your home, from the overall composition down to the last ribbon and candle, leaving you simply to enjoy it.

6. Takedown and pack away

When the season comes to an end, I can return in January to carefully take everything down and pack it away, ready for next year. This can be arranged at the time of booking.

There’s a shorter overview of the process on the How It Works page.

What can be styled?

  • Christmas tree styling: your own tree and decorations, edited, arranged and finished with a professional eye, with extra pieces sourced where needed.
  • Festive interior styling: mantelpieces, dining tables, staircases, wreaths and entrances, styled individually or together.
  • Complete Christmas home styling: one cohesive scheme across several areas of your home, from creative direction through to final styling.
  • Christmas styling consultation: creative direction for those who would rather bring the scheme to life themselves.

You’ll find more detail on each on the Services page.

Can you use the decorations I already have?

Yes, and I’d encourage it. Often the most personal schemes start with a family’s own collection: ornaments gathered over the years, pieces passed down, the things that simply feel like Christmas to you. Your existing decorations can be edited, rearranged and combined with a few well-chosen additions, so everything feels considered and still entirely yours.

Where do you work?

EVE styles homes across London and the surrounding areas. That includes Central London (Kensington, Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Mayfair and Marylebone among them) as well as the rest of the city and beyond. Whether it’s a townhouse, a mansion flat or a family home outside the city, the approach is the same: the scheme starts with the space itself.

If you’re not sure whether your area is covered, just ask.

How much does Christmas styling cost?

There are no fixed packages, so every project is quoted individually. The cost depends on the size of the space, how many areas you’d like styled, whether we’re working with your existing decorations or sourcing new ones, and whether you’d like a takedown in January. After the consultation, you’ll receive a tailored quotation for the agreed scope before anything is booked.

When should I book?

For Christmas 2026, I’m taking on a limited number of private commissions, so it’s worth getting in touch as early as you can. The consultation, creative direction and sourcing all happen before installation, and the earlier we begin, the more choice there is, both of dates and of decorations.

If you’re thinking about having your home styled this Christmas, I’d love to hear from you. Tell me a little about your home through the enquiry form, and we’ll take it from there.
